• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Craptastic!

Well, I drove the car for about 3hrs today never heard the sound. I got home and came upstairs to get my tools and before I could make it outside good ol' Arkansas thunderstorms came threw! woot hail!!! Its still raining!!!!!!! Im just going to let it be for now and just keep a "ear" under the hood. Today it was around 97 with like 87% humidity so it was good and warm and I got on the car like twice. But anyways thanks again for all the advice and help guys!

Hey, about that SC drain plug. It's a Torx fitting, not a phillips. You must use a Torx #30 bit to remove it anything else may tear it up. Now if you have never changed the SC oil, do it, but first get the coupler replaced. If your car has 30000mi or more on it and you never changed your SC oil your coupler may have took a turn for the worst. Also use GM approved SC oil ONLY! Hope this helps ya. Oh and the oil capacity is only 8 oz. Hope ya hear her WHHHHIIIINNNEEE again. Have a good one.

The supercharger drain plug is an allen type fitting if I remember correctly.

Update! Well for one the SC drain plug is Allan wrench thingy! (yes I am still a chic!) I have not heard the sound since then! Only thing I did was add some Dexcool cause it was low and cleaned my air filter! I drove the car about 2hrs no stops threw a mountain passes and stuff. I drove the hell out of it to see if I could get the sound again and I couldnt! Everytime I get out of the car I leave it running and go to the hood to see if I can hear it but havent! So im really not sure wtf it was! I know it sounded JUST like the coupler but now I have no clue! I went ahead and ordered a coupler and new drain plug just incase. My x hubby is in Ohio working and I will be heading up that way in July and I think im going to just take my car over to ZZP and have them tune it and everything and drop all my mods on. Then stop down in IN and see if Trannyman can do some upgrades to the tranny and add the shiftkit! So Trannyman if your reading this I will contact you around First week of July to set up a time!

EDIT: One thing I have noticed the SC whine does not sound that loud...someone told me its because its not cold anymore! It gets around 98 with like 100% humidity!

X2 on that ^^

Since it was cold...I'm still sticking with the lifters not being primed and just clattering around in there.

Cleaner? Would it hurt? in the crankcase?

Use some sea foam. Follow the directions. Won't hurt at all.

O i always use seafoam...im like addicted to that crap! I put it in everyones car! LOL I just like the smoke! hahaha.

Hi Jess, Saw the pics of your car. I have an 07 GT like yours same color and all. Its a little hard to tell from the pics but do you have the stainless steel Pillar Post? I've thought about putting those on my car as well. Are you satisfied with the way it looks? I have the Anadized Aluminum Billet Grills, both top and bottom. It really dresses up the front end. I bought my car used back in Oct-08, I've got just a little over 31000 Mi. on it. It's been a great car so far.

No my car is still pretty much stock. This is the second SC grand prix I have had. I LOVE it! I got mine in July 08. But I have like 48K maybe on mine.

I've heard otherwise. Something about the seafoam eatting up the seals and gaskets in your engine.

It's something someone has made up. IF seafoam did anything to the seals or anything bad to your engine and someone had proof of this, seafoam would not only no longer be around but they would not be telling you to put it anywhere near your engine.

Your car was pissed because you let your exhusband drive it. I know if I had an exwife and had a chance to drive her car, I would try to blow the sonofa***** up. But that is just me.
