• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Right here is the sensors plug. The large pulley is the harmonic balancer.

that write up 3 posts up is the easy way.

unless you are referring to the getting the bolt off balance'r part. big pipe on a breaker bar works, also the starter method works, you need to take fuel pump repay out, start the car let it run out of gas, then put a breaker bar with socket on the bolt, let the bar hit the ground and then go crank the engine to break the bolt loose.

I think that you did not understand what I am was trying to say,I know that you are trying to be sarcastic, but the reason that I ask the question is because I never done any thing like this before, what are the steps to take in replacing the unit, and how difficult it is.

that how to posted is as plain English as your going to find, remove the balance'r and its behind it, not much to tell. there are pics in both posts.

This is "never done it before" guide that should help out. To give you a little more info and commentary on the procedure. The sensor is held to the block by two bolts and a pin that gives it the proper location. It's pretty straight forward, with a couple potential issues that you might run into. The balancer bolt is very tight and as Scotty mentioned there are a couple ways around this issue. I mention the bolt size in the thread because it can be tough to find, 1/4" fine thread also will work. It's just not 100% the right bolt.

Overall if you were to see this done, you'd say it seems easy. Toughest part is getting the bolt out of the crank. After that, it's a couple 13mm bolts a plastic shield and then putting the balancer back on the crank, turning it and pushing lightly until it engages the key into the keyway, then it won't turn by hand and you tighten the bolt back on.
