Cracks in Strut Towers

When i was about to install my Rear STB, i noticed that my rear strut towers had cracks in them. Has anyone else had this happen to their cars? Where would i even begin as far as fixing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a pic:

Your sig has just given me some helpful info with the GMPP STB's. Idk about the Don Rome brackets. Thx. As for your strut tower it may need to be replaced or patched. If that's even possible.

Yeah, i was wondering if they can be replaced too. Don't know too much about them. As for the Don Rome brackets, let me just say that it made installation of the STBs way easier than GM says to do. The biggest plus is that you don't have to drill holes in your strut towers.

Yeah, the GMPP way of installing the STB's is too much work & if you ever need to remove the STB you've got holes in your strut tower. I plan to get those brackets soon. You might go to a dealer & see what they would do to fix that strut tower. I'm betting the whole thing needs to be cut out & replaced, but that's only my opinion.

blkgp2000 before going to the dealer pm me cuz i have 5 extra strut towers that i'm looking to get rid of. $15 each

Its been said before, basically cut it out and weld in a new one.

If thats happened then your rockers are probably no longer there.
