Cracked Flexplate Symptoms???



Well turns out i may have a cracked flexplate or either a rod. But the thing is i still have good normal oil pressure and no check engine lights whatsoever. I was driving wedsday and the cracked flexplate/ rod noise started. I havent driven it untill today. I go to start the car and it starts then on my way home, the car shuts down and now wont start or try to even turn over.

Battery is good but as soon as i go to try and start it, i get 2 clicks and car everything shuts off. The shop i took it to said i need a new engine but i was thinking it was a flexplate.

Can a bad flexplate mess with the starter or vise versa?
