Ok so i need to replace my cat so im going with the zzp downpipe, now my question is is a 2000 gtp 2.5 at stock?

Also i want to block off my egr cus its given me nothing but problems from the start so can i just block it off or will it throw codes without deleting it from the pcm?

The stock dp is more like 2" ID stock, it's really small, even 2.5 is a nice upgrade... Most people go 3" if you're gunna be modding a gtp
 
Also, I believe there are some write ups in the how to section on egr delete

If you don't care about it being there you could probably just unplug it and leave it there to disable it

only problem with the light being on all the time is, you dont know if something new has popped up on you.
 


If you're gunna stay stock then yeah maybe just stay 2.5, if you think you might go farther in the future it wont hurt to have 3"

Have you thought about how to tune the code out? Most aftermarket pcms come with codes like that disabled or you can request it.. Then since you'll be getting a tuned PCM it would probably benefit to go 3"

How about this for the EGR?:

Repair it so it works correctly.
It's a very simple system; valve and tube that goes to the LIM.
Make sure the valve is working and the tube isn't clogged.

You can score a valve at a junk yard for cheap. If your tube is cracked grab that as well.
It only takes about 5 minutes to install this stuff.

If that doesn't fix the problem then replace the MAP sensor.
