Ok so from my avatar you can tell what color my car is, now my question is what color should I paint my engine compartment? I have the motor and tranny out and would like to do some painting but I can't think of a color that would look good with the color of my car?
 


i personally like the jet black under the hood look and the black has to be a shiny pop color black though haha good luck dude!
 
i just painted my M90, LIM, and valve covers BBQ black. bbq paint is good as it wont flake off with the heat, and its cheap. its a nice flat color too
 


Dpends on what look your going for. From a body work guy, I would go with a satin black. It has a nice factory look, but still stands out, especially under some polished parts. Not to say it's a bad thing, but a gloss black looks fake in so many words. That's just my thoughts on it. It's what look you going for yourself.
