Could I throw my winter rims on my wife's Escape?

I have stock rims mounted on some really nice winter tires. As of right now my car is sitting and may be for a while. Just wondering if I could get some use out of them since her tires are at the end of their life. What I can find online about her vehicles size are at this link

She has an 09 Limited. I no the offset would work but will the 225 vs 235 size difference make a big change on the speedo? And anyone know if our stock 16's will fit around the brakes and everything on an Escape?

225 vs 235 is the tire WIDTH, not the height. The difference in height comes from the aspect ratio combined with the width.

225/60/16 is 26.63" tall
235/70/16 is 28.95" tall
