Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

coudnt beat a newer dodge durango. WTF

We gun it from about a twenty roll, i get about a one foot jump on him and then it was dead even up until 70 or so when he had to brake for traffic, neither one gained an inch.

Did you hold the car in first, or had it already shifted into a higher gear before you punched it?

I think they make 335 HP, but they make like 370 TQ. Dodge seems to like to produce torque with their vehicles. At least with their V8's.

Also curious, how were you tuned? Street, dyno? What's it putting down?

No i wasnt using tapshift, but i guess i should have been, i just punched it in D when i heard his engine reving up. I am street tuned, i drive, my buddy does the tuning from the passanger seat. Never had it on a dyno so no clue what she actually puts down.

Also, i didnt mention this because i didnt want to sound like a ricer and make excuses, but i did have three passangers with me at the time, someone said thats why i didnt pull him, but i dont really think that would make enough of a difference anyway. Would it?

passengers make a lot of difference. every 100 lbs you got in your car means a .1s loss in the 1/4 time.

Well, by the time you heard his engine revving it was pretty much over if you didn't hold it in first gear. It takes time for the car to shift back to 1st. Then there is the extra 500 lbs (I'm guessing) you were carrying, which as Bio said you'd be a half second slower than you'd be normally.

I think a lot of people don't consider that. Passengers in the car will kill you every time.

thank god i only weigh a buck 40, ha.

anything with 4wd is gunna work a fwd gp off the line. hell all he had to do was stomp on it, especially at a 20 roll? who rolls these days anyways.

260 here.

He was probably in 2WD; they aren't going to burn as the torque isn't delivered like the GTP does.

And to answer your final questions: ricers. Always did, always will.
