Correct PS Fluid?

K so I've asked this question multiple other places and nobody answers my post at all. Hundreds of views, no replies.. dunno why. All I want to know is... my PS fluid is low, getting a whine. The manual says to use the proper GM PS fluid, but can I use the Prestone Power Steering Fluid that Meets the service requirements of GM and blah blah blah?

I know it seems like a stupid question, but I've heard some people swear up and down to use ONLY the GM fluid directly from a dealer.

I just want to top off my reservoir and stop the whine, but nobody will answer me! :th_nervous:

I just used prestone power steering fluid with stop leak about 3 years ago with no problems to date. I didn't have a leak, just bought that one.
Maybe the whine is from your supercharger......... i kid, i kid:th_laugh-lol3:

Lol, just use Powersteering fluid, hell, I've used tranny fluid before in a pinch. It can take it.

Yeah, I hate it when those prankster kids break into my garage when Im sleeping and top swap my car on me.
