cops are useless, and apparently so is hand soap

SO I'm heading to work in my girlfriends' Yaris because i seem to have an air leak in the supercharger as many of you know. and the Yaris has a digital gas gauge center of the car. So 20 miles into my drive into work the car stalls. The digital gauge doesn't leave a reserve... so i pull over and start to walk to the gas station as a NHP (nevada highway patrol) flips his lights and sirens behind me, one guy, walking on the exit ramp to the gas station a quarter mile away. "Hey is that your car?" he asks and i reply that it is my car and I'm just getting some gas so i can make it to work which apparently he doesn't like, "Am i gonna have to tow that ****in thing or are you gonna take care of it???" i say yes I'm on it I'm walking to the gas station now. and i swear to you he spins his tires and shoots off and leaves. How irritating is that??

I do in fact get some gas and get to the gas station and fill up. and with a little bit of luck i make it to work on time. But if your someone who can use a .5 gas can without spilling any on your hands you're a better man than i am. And as i sit here writing my story, my hands feel like they're on fire because there is no hand soap and soaking my hands just didn't do the trick.
 


That sucks. I hate when cops are ignorant like that. WHat makes it worse was the fact that your driving a yaris.
 
a 2 door, bone stock, bright red yaris with the licence plate saying "BOO"
i miss my gp :(


and i'm an idiot. i never let the gp get under a quarter tank but i always run the yaris bone dry.

i treat 1/4 as empty in all cars mainly cause my old 76 maro had a messed up gauge lol left me stranded more then once
 
not all cops are assholes. all professions have assholes. ive ran across a few cops that have dumped weed out of my bag and mushed it into the ground.. also got pulled doin 110 and got a ticket for doing 10 over.

True. My uncle is a sherrif for my county and he has pulled me over a couple of times when I was speeding, and he just lets me go.
 
the thing about any proffesssion that has mass employees is it doesnt matter how many good ones there are The bad ones are the ones that people hear about and form opinions on

This goes for everything from wall mart to the Armed Forces
But I still dont care for Police in my area cause they have no care for the people who pay taxes and such in their area If you call them out for a break in or car theft they make it sound like its a burdon to make a report
 
who ever brags about a nice cop? haha but ya i can't wait to get behind the gp once again... i've always had asshole cops in my life. had a cammed mustang and they ALWAYS pulled me over. "where ya going?" "where's it at?" "how long ya gonna be there?"
 
I disagree on your thread title, sir. They are not useless. They are great at totally smurfing up traffic because someone decided the front of their car was too long so they smash it into a concrete barrier.

They also insure that there are no stale doughnuts. Everywhere. Ever.
 


hmm i had some thing similar happen to me.. ran outta gas maybe 100 yards from a station once, on my stroll over there a cop stops me, asking is that your car? what are you doing?, now normally i respect cops and for the most part dont give them a hard time, but this dude was ridiculous. Im a few steps away from my car which has its hazards on, i have a gas can in my hand walking towards the sunoco. it wouldnt be hard to figure out whats happened. but no the guys keeps questioning me like ima bout to rob a bank.

worst of all the guy says thats not a good place to leave your car ( under an overpass). im thinking oh here, you must mean this dark overpass that your a$$ has been parked in for 5 minutes while you questioned me.
 
well that particular cop was useless. and my employers seem to think soap is just as helpful. but ya, sorry we inconvenience you with our lack of gasoline.
 
join the army and hand that photo id to em that says im one of you. i get away for doing 100 through a school zone.... this is a figment of make believe i never would do that, but you get the point.

^Agreed^ Ive had my share of pigs but have dealt with alot of very nice police officers as well. recently we had a pyscho walking around at like 3 in the morning with a spot light on his head and a bow and arrow, wearing pjs.... i walked out to the swat officer who was standing in my driveway behind my shrubs and asked what he was doing, he said it was none of my business and i needed to go back inside... i told him to go fly a kite, its 3am, he was on my property and my dogs were keeping me awake, to answer me or stop hiding behind my bushes, so he told me about the guy and said to get my ass in the house lol.... i went back inside :th_thumbsup-wink: and grabbed my shotgun and watched from the living room window, nothing exciting happened tho :th_shakinghead2:
 
i've had mostly positive experiences with cops. the first time i got pulled over, the guy was a dick, but each time after that they've treated me with respect. which is more than i can expect being a 19 year old male. one let me off a 47 in a 25 because i had no idea where i was, but he gave me a ticket for a seatbelt. i can't be mad at him for doing his job. the other one let me off for not having a front plate in a town where they write tickets for 1 over.

now the sheriff that pulled into my driveway at 1130pm and lit me up because i was in the driver's seat of my NOT RUNNING truck was a little uncalled for. especially when it was my school resource officer and knew me personally. and she got mad when i said she couldn't see my license. give me one reason why lol

He should have given you a break for that. Maybe he was a gay basher, you should have told him you borrowed the car from your girl friend.:th_winking:

Doesnt matter WHERE you are or what state the car is in, its a DUI or attempt to DUI.

LOL im in oklahoma... a friend was sitting in a lot with a big group and had his bass lights going, flashes red on one side, blue on the other, it was an old caprice cop car lol... cop pulled in and started threating him for impersonating a police officer and said he could tow the car if he wanted to.
He defended himself by quoting the law on lights being red and blue from the state law book. Cop looked at him funny, he said he looked it up because he knew eventually some cop would be a dick about it. This was a year after the lights and system was installed... some cops are just that way :th_laugh-lol2:
