Ok guys i have an opportunity to have these made right down the street from me. I wanted to see how many people would be interested in buying copper gaskets. They will come in differant thicknesses as well for the different compressions, kinda like the layerd ones but i these will be solid copper. You guys use copper spray, why not just use copper gaskets. This is from a company who has been making gaskets since like 1920 or somthing close to that. I actually think its been longer. But any ways im not quite sure on the exact price, but just to give an idea ide say the price should be some were between... 80.00 to 140.00 thats just a guesstamate im trying to get them made cheap enough to be sold for a hell of a price that cant be beat..... So everyone please leave some feedback bc i need to know if i should even take the time to do it. bc if nobody wants them why do it you know.

These gaskets are used on blown top fuel dragsters, funnycars, streetrods, ect. Im sure they would hold up on the l67,36,26,32 ect.

They have leaked before...the stock ones run with no issues...unless your pushing like 90 psi or something they aren't gonna go bad.

well fuc* it.i wont wast my time then. It was just an idea that my friend ran by me. figured i would ask................

ohh and by the way any head gasket will leak if its not done properly...dont matter what kind it is...and most people then use copper spray to help seal them......like the layered ones...and they buy the layered ones for diff compresion...so if you could get the compression you want with better sealability...then y not ? and at half the cost..idk just a thought.

If you dont like to have to do any work on it later, or should i say maintenance,Then u mayaswell just leave it stock and do regular maintenance to it,oil change, plugs, wires, lol..Its alot easier to tighten them up then it is to replace the timing chain dampner, and people do it ...and its reusable, so for those of you who get the arp head studs and are always pulling your heads you wouldnt have the extra expence of the gaskets, to go with those arp bolts. But anyways Finally somone agrees with me.....hahaaha......thanks.

Headgaskets aren't a maintenace item. Once you install them, you shouldn't have to check up on them. A double roller timing chain solves the tensioner issue. MLS gaskets are reusable and are proven to work once you have them sealed. Hell if MLS gaskets can hold up to an 8 sec grand prix, thats good enough for me.

I know they are not a maintenance item. I was just saying it wouldnt be hard to tighten them up a bit. The guys that make them never had that issue. Not saying they dont have that compressing issue, because i dont know. It was just an idea, and i want to say thank you all for your input, but i just talked to the guys that make them and for some reason they said with the 3.8 block there would be some sealing issues because of the way the block and head mate together or somthing. Not that its impossible, but they would need a few extra things done to get them to be properly sealed. So we or i decided not to go any farther with this. It was a good idea at least i think it was, but it definatly just wont be worth it.:th_thumb-down: So again thank you all for your input good or bad.....lol
