Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

cop lights

i had a bad past last yr i was with some people i should have been with and i was tried along with them for petty theft from a local junkyard and i didnt even steal anything they were in my bronco ii =[ long story short thought i worked at a local thirft store and helped out for 25 hours... thats it but it was a waste of my time. dont get a light bar thats just dumb bottom line.. and for the age limit to drive IDC i got my liecense haha

Well I can tell you from personal experience here in St. Louis and in KC. All motor vehicles that have any type of red or blue lights on the front of the cars, other than for emergency response vehicles, is considered illegal. Now the fines back when I was still on the job were minimal, but people who had those hella angel foglamps that would change colors got pulled over a lot. Most were given warnings to keep the colors different than red and blue.

I am pretty sure that law stretches to most states.

o and dont forget about 800 dollars i pissed away on court and lawyer god i hate "friends" wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people = no good =[

OMG, drivers ed was SUCH a joke to me!! Most everyone was either sleeping or doing there own thing while the instructor tried to keep everyone under control. If someone failed the test they were allowed to take it again... THE SAME DAY, how stupid is that?!! there are so many things going wrong the youth in America nowadays and I believe most of the problem is that there is nearly nothing required of us, just think, if that test was much harder then the kids would HAVE to pay attention in class and not mess around, otherwise they fail and have to spend all that money to try again! and dont even get me started on how crappy our public education has gotten!!!

btw I am 18 years old.

I kind of like this guy now. ^^^^

First off, I'm rarely on the same side as Street Wolf.:th_tongue2: This has been quite constructive and helpful of him. He is often, how shall I say it, blunt.

Truth. :D

Which is why I'm not going to bother going further with this thread. Because if you felt I was being 'insulting' and you were getting 'offended' by my earlier comments you sure are not going to like what I'd tell you next.

Well the reason I put in my .02 is because as most know I am a cop lol. Be he insisted "it's ok because I'm a minor" so I only offer advise once.

Offer advice only once, tickets from there on out. :th_biggrin2:

It takes an act of god for you to get a ticket from me. But I do only give advice once after that IMO you deserve what comes your way lol. As far as tint, neons, systems, exhaust ect... I tend lok the other way unless it's done right in my face, then I feel like I'm being taunted. Nothing like a moron bumping and reving his fart can next to a patrol car. :th_hammerhead2:

I wouldn't see any issues with red tinted fog lights, since they can be turned on and off. Don't think I would drive with them on, but no differently than neons. I'd see nothing wrong with park and light. Easy solutions if you still wanted to have them be functional legally would be to make covers or use tinted "static" covers that can be taken off and put back on whenever you want.

There are quite a few cars around here that run with yellow headlights and/or fogs, but that is an allowable color. Really depends on your area though. Here, I wouldn't drive with forward-facing red lights turned on. I have seen plenty of cars with colored halos/angel eyes in the headlights or fogs drive with no issues. A couple of sinister looking GPs that have red halos around on the forums. Hell, some of them have color change units so you could pick your mood or switch from street to show.

Check your local laws. I've heard that police depts. can also use DOT standards as a de facto standard even if it is not a local law. Not 100% sure if that is true or not.

I personally have 5000k HID lows/Halogen highs in my projectors (with halos) and am putting 3000k HIDs in my fogs.

...Tyler, glad you decided to change your mind bro, youre much better off as a member of the GP community that the DOC commmunity (Dept. O' Corrections). Have fun with your car, man, spend your $$$ on mods that matter. Although im not about to say that there haven't been times where i wished i had a lightbar on the roof so I could get the dumb@$$es ahead of me outta the way.lol. Oh, and JC, glad youre around too, man. Always nice to have a cop on our side, keep us in line, school us on the laws, ya know....
