coolant low light keeps coming on

Well as the title says the coolant low light keeps comeing on I can fill it up an then in a week it will come back on. Go an check it an it's low now for the things i've checked water pump no leaks or nothing that I can see, the coolant container check for leaks an there is none. So my thoughts are upper intake manifold gasket how can you check this. I do see liquid/fluids on the upper intake manifold laying there so is it safe to say it's that. It's not the head gasket either because I have no milky oil an no steam/smoke from the exhaust. Any help would be great before I just throw money at the problem that I just can't afford an oh my car is a 2000 gp gt so many thanks guy's!!!:th_thumbsup-wink:

u can pick up dies for it at almost any parts store and dump in then u can use there black/blue light to look for the leak that should tell you where it is comeing from for shure

Had the same issue myself and always lived with it for years, but just did a top end swap and found my issue.. The Head gasket were going out slowly, the coolant channels in the block were plugged up bad, but just like you I had no signs of milk anywhere... All i can suggest for short term is a major system flush maybe two or three times with a synthetic flushing agent??? Good luck

have you checked the coolant elbows? I would also do a flush with a cleaning agent......I know peak makes a flush kit that is easy to do......worked well for me.

Don't mean to thread jack but, im having the same problem. My coolant is filled to the top, and the overflow tank has plenty in it. Once in a while, ill be driving and the "low coolant" light will come on for a second, then go away. On some days it will stay on for 5-10 minutes, then go away. I don't have a factory radiator, i have an over sized one from zzp. Im not sure what company it is. I know i don't have any leaks anywhere, no milky brown oil, and no oil in the rad.

does your radiator cap work ok? the check valve could be broke? more than likely in your case it is a bad sensor the way it sounds and if you do actually have good levels in the radiator.......
