Coolant leaks



Yeah I'm done lol I followed a guy on YouTube. It was a paper gasket, he said with those, a thin layer of RTV doesn't hurt
 
Done with that part, I need some help, one of the screws holding the little pulley cover on fell under the radiator D: any hope in getting it out?
 
if you dropped it dropped it straight down, it could be laying on the plastic splash shield. you just got to kinda feel around for it. if you lost it 3 out of 4 bolts will get you by till you fine a new one.

Running much better, except for the fact that I still need about 3/4ths of a gallon of antifreeze before its drivable lol
 


Well now it is really all solved, I kept adding coolant to the radiator and wondering why it kept over flowing and my climate control was blowing no heat on max.

But with use of the search function I solved it. Adding coolant to the area underneath the Thermostat. After you fill that, tighten everything up, and turn that bleeder up on top of the thermostat housing, and let it sputter and drip coolant until the flow is smooth and then tighten it back up. Go through the burping process in the radiator, when youre done Top off the radiator with the car off and you're good to go. (at least it works for me, may vary, I suck at explaining.

Doing that made the heat blow super warm and the car wasn't exceeding the 200* range at all. Even a few days ago when it was 95+ my car was nice and less than 200*.
 
yea, always make sure too bleed the cooling system. the air will never work itself completely out without bleeding, and it will cause nice overheating in the process..
