Coolant Leak

I have a 2002 GP. so i noticed that my coolant is leaking. The coolant is leaking from the coolant tank slowly. There is nothing wrong with the temperature, it remains stable. Before i take it to the mechanic i would like to know about the problem.
Also the engine check light came on and went off after a day, now its back on.
