• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

coolant issues after elbow/lim/uim replacment

You can go ahead and try to u bend that hose, there's no reason for coolant going through the tensioner bracket except space.

However..you'll find the two hoses are different sizes.

yeah, your discount is not the typical 10%, now its a percentage of how much you spend...i was getting 1.2% for normal stuff like oil change, etc. it may be the chain here in cali that blows. kragen/advance auto gave me a heck of a deal before. but not anymore. so i go with autozone...

i would not ghetto rigify it with a ubend in the hose...i would use freeze plugs and plug the outlets coming from engine the right way. i found issue, not elbows at all. and NOW i started getting the tell tale sign of boiling coolant blowing pressure to the reservoir...just like i did in my talon a couple years back...parts sitting in box in car, just no time to put them on.

You can't plug them. The coolant makes a circuit from the timing cover to the LIM. You'd need to put barbs in those two and run a hose.

good info to know. car is being a real *****. about to swap out for a new HD rad...the drain plug is stuck and wont loosen to drop coolant. tired of this car lol
