coolant flow

When changing the lower intake manifold and supercharger is it worth to block off the coolant flow thru the supercharger?
I know if those two holes are blocked off that the side port has to be opened up for better flow to the rear head.

Ok thanks guys and I mite just leave them open then. What about opening up the side port with the top two ports open? It does get cold here in Iowa and I heard about the throttlebody plate getting frozen without the coolant thru it.

Ok my other question is is it worth taken the egr out or would it mess up my engine? I know the intake would be cleaner and cooler. But doesnt it give you problems cuz the exhaust gas takes up some room in the cabustion chamber and helps with gas mileage.

the EGR is only active when youre cruising and you might only lose a couple of MPG or so at the most.

Yea I'll just have to think about that whole thing then. Ok what about opening up the side port on the lower intake manifold for coolant flow?

if you block the coolant ports in the LIM then open up the side passage more. what else is there to know?
