Coolant Elbow...AGAIN!!!

so about 5 months ago, my coolant elbo just exploded in my car. I replaced both elbow and my thermo, bled the system and everything was fine. Now today my wife was driving, and the same thing happend. The coolant elbow broke, after just 5 months. anyone know what could cause this, and what i can do to keep it from doing it again....

hmm, normally once you replace the factory ones you are fine. Make sure you get them in good and not binding.

Kinking the O rings happens... I did that once or twice before I got mine figured out.

Where did you get the elbows from?

Also...to get them to seal better...I've always used a dab of RTV on them.
