Cool Trick with HIDs..

I put my HID's in today and noticed a trick. I am not sure if anyone has noticed this but I figured id share it. In my 2002, if I leave the high beams on the headlights turn off. This also means that the security flash has no headlight, just corners. So I did not have to do a rewire and i still get just the corner lights flashing with the lock/ unlock

The security flash flashes whatever lights are on. So, if you leave your high beams on, it'll flash the high beams. I assume the OP has low beam only HID's, and gets no flash since he doesn't have high beams. Similarly, if you leave the foglights on it'll flash the foglights with the headlights.

Sorry. The security flash flashes whatever lights would be on if the lights were on. You don't leave the headlights on, just leave the switch in the high beam position. I hope this answered your question.

sorry if i made it confusing. Basically, If you have low beam only HIDs, leave the high beams on and the security will flash to parking lights only....no wire cutting neccesary
