• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Conrad's Racekar Z06

I like the dark marker lights and i think you could go a little darker on the tails but thats just me

I feel like I'm going to get that a lot, but I don't like them dark with the valence black also. I'm happy with how they turned out.

I'd say either put them back to stock or make them jet black...there really isn't a decent medium I've seen on these cars. Same with the tails. They're either stock, or OMGcantseelights tinted.

I expected darker shade on the tails, just looking at them without a before and after I would call bs on them even being tinted. They look so light its like its factory still. I would have gone a little darker so it looked shaded, but not OMGICANTSEEBRAKELIGHTS dark.

if you can paint properly so when its done it looks like glass, then yes, do it.. otherwise, sell it and work on GP

Yea, I can. I'm looking for everyone's opinion, because I'm still kinda on the fence on painting it silver. It seems to be the best way to finish off the bezel, because I'll never be able to perfectly match the rest of the interior painting it black again.

If you have the $$$ order in some Carbon Fiber vinyl wrap and once your done modding for the double-din you can wrap it up.

Otherwise I'm all for Paint to Match inner body panels. Just don't go crazy, crazy is too much, just the center would look tits with a silver machined shift knob.

Definitely not going to CF wrap it, I hate that also. I've seen pictures of the SEM textured paint and it still doesn't match the rest of the interior. I'm going to do the bezel and center console (not the lid though) in silver with clear. Also I think I'm going to add a C6 shift knob and paint a corvette skull where the shift pattern normally is.

Cleaned up the engine bay today. For 65k miles, this was a dirty engine. Nothing was really greasy though which made this project a little easier.

Some before shots:

Debris between the intake and head/valve covers

Things I used (didn’t use any of them very much though)

Blew all of the debris out of this area with the Bissell steamer

Pulled the coil packs and bracket off for cleaning

Neglected engine bay

Much better

All hoses and wire loom wiped down, and everything else I can get my hand to

Needed to unbolt the alternator to get this side’s coil bracket off

And here’s the after shots

The money shot! But it’s missing something- any guesses?
