Conrad's Racekar Z06

LS1GTP

It's Slow
Here's the soon-to-be RACEKAR that I just recently purchased...

The car was found on ebay, located in Ohio about 4 hours away. Nothing compared to the 12 hour New York trip for my Camaro SS a year and a half ago!

Took some pictures on the way there:

Couldn't get a good picture, but it's the Cruze assembly plant.

Sold!

Going home:

Cleaned up a little bit, hasn't been polished and waxed yet.

Wish I had a good picture of the exhaust tips before cleaning them, they were SO black but they polished up nicely.

Red stripes were removed

Very clean interior as well

Planning on a double din radio, I think it will look great.

Car is great, has a few little things that need attention but nothing that I can't handle. It has tint and a full exhaust already, so that was icing on the cake on the already sweet deal for a Z06 with 65k miles. Though the catback sounds GREAT, it's going to be sold to get a factory z06 titanium exhaust. The stock exhaust weighs less than any other catback, doesn't hold you back on power, and is cheaper than this aftermarket catback, so I'm going to get that instead and add a couple electric cutouts in the 3" x-pipe for racekar status on demand.

More pictures coming soon...

going to forced induction or staying n/a

Going with a decent sized cam first, possibly FI later on...These cars are capable of 575rwhp with nothing but a full exhaust and supercharger kit and over 650rwhp with a cam added to that equation.

Fvckin score! I kinda hate you right now c5's are such an awesome bang for the buck right now!! Very nice!

They really are! I really got a deal on this one. They are a lot different than f-body's, a lot of little things that are so much better. Love it so far and it hasn't even hit the streets yet.

I have a lot of cosmetic changes coming soon. Polish and wax tomorrow and will maybe get into the appearance also.

Cam and spray call it a day ohhh if you go that route buy a set of real tires too!
Doesn't take much spray to make these damn fast.

Anyone can spray a car, I've never been a fan of it. Tires all have less than 500 miles but I doubt the 295 street tires will hook with a cam, so eventually I'll need drag radials.
