Conrad's DD- Retrofits, Bullitts, Lowered

Re: Conrad's slowkar DD

Well since he decided to reveal it for me before I posted pictures, I guess I’ll just post pictures with how it sits.

Like he said, it’s the 1.8T with the 5 speed trans, it’spretty slow until you get into the boost, which is still pretty slow but not much worse than the GTP. Gas mileage is MUCH better than the GP, this gets 20 city and 30 highway, while the GP was getting 19ish combined. With it being a manual, it obviously makes daily driving more fun and interesting. It has TWO heated seats and functioning AC (GP’s compressor took a ****). AWD and manual will make for good winter driving :D I bought it thinking it was just lowered with a boost gauge, but it also has a new timing belt and a ton of other maintenance already done, and it’s also tuned (peaks at 14psi). It rides much nicer than the GP and is just a better daily driver all around. It also put some extra cash in my pocket for the price I got it at, so that's also a plus.

With that said, it also came with an extra set of wheels (17”) that I will be painting black. I decided on black so I’ll have a matching color scheme as the Z06.

I wanted to wait to get the wheels on and get a photoshoot with both cars but someone had to ruin that.

I'll think about it, but I'll probably go with black. Going to go with a satin black. Also the car needs tint, like badly.

Those engine are known to be called the sludge monsters, atleast around here they are.

Make sure the whole PCV system is fully working and run some good oil in it. Don't let it get low either as thats when sludge will start to build up.

Yes I have heard that too, we checked it during our inspection and it looked pretty good from what we could see. Running Mobil 1 full synthetic is crucial. I wonder if it'd be a bad idea to run seafoam in the oil? I'm going to ask the forums.

Niceeeeeeee man! My mom got a '12 A4 quattro when her Q7 went in for some service, and that car was the best thing to have fun in, it handles like a dream lol Too bad I'll never see it on woodward cuz the Z06 gets all the love :)

Got my high beams working! About time. Swapped the relay boxes I had. I think I also messed up the harness I had before, because I tried both relay boxes with that harness.

Also, I think my rear end dropped a little more, it's looking better than in the latest pictures. But I think the front also dropped a bit, it's at a finger and a half gap.
Did you every get any full shots after this post? The photoshoot with the Z06 you can only see the front

Whatever pics are in the thread is what I have. You can see if the new owner can get some more pics, his username is boosted01.

Nah I don't want to mess with the mirrors, I'd probably break the heated or auto dim part of them. Almost done painting those extra wheels (I was on vacation for over a week). They were in very rough shape, the one closest to the camera in the picture is the only good looking one.
