Re: cracked sc snout....wtf

Nvrmnd, did a google search on genv swap.....our search sucks. Sounds slightly more involved than i had imagined.

Re: cracked sc snout....wtf

Checked that, i didnt. Im thinkin my alt isnt doing its job properly. In hindsight i just added one of zzp's voltage boosters to the alt. Maybe that killed it off. Not sure how old the alt is, was prob on its way out anyways.

Re: cracked sc snout....wtf

I seen, thanx! Ill be following that as well as other ive seen. Not ready to do it right now, im laid off and moneys tight.

Re: cracked sc snout....wtf

Lmfao @ myself. There was grease/oil on the end of the snout. So i was gonna take a pic so i wiped the grease off and there isnt a crack, (thank god!) But the way the grease was on there looked like it was cracked. I felt so stupid, but yet soo relieved. I should've taken a pic the way it was, so ppl wouldn't have thought i was retarded! Lol

Still searching for the battery drain. Trying to look it over for any bad grounds, loose wires or anything else that i can think of without tearing apart the the whole electrical system. Any tips/common culprits i should be aware of?

Recently had this problem on my bros gt. apparently the starter screws weren't tightened. Just a thought. Also check for corrosion on the battery cables as well.

Check the battery cables make sure they are right and not corroded also check the ground wire and make sure you don't happen to have anything plugged in or stuck in the cigarette lighter.
