Whats the best way to get rid of the water in my tail lights?? and is there a permanent fix?? I plan on tinting them in the near future...

Or should i just save my time and order a set of LED tail's and tint them??

I'll be doing that tomorrow hopefully

but i've seen people (on other cars) bake their tail lights, they pop apart, then dry it out, remove the old sealent, then put em back together with new sealent

that only works for the headlights if your gonna tint them just tint them it should cover up the water on the inside if you go dark enough

There's some pretty (pardon me) but G@y law's where i'm living... A friend of mine drive a 06 Ford F-150 and his tail's are tinted (to the darkness i've wanted mine) and both him and his girlfriend have been pulled over and given $25 tickets over the tint, I'm going to tint drak but not pitch black, it's hard to explain (i'll be tinting my front corner lights too)

if your planning on tinting them your self,

when you go light with VHT, you get a cherry look to them, not to dark at all, but not stock either anymore. find some rattle can clear coat, spray it on 4 or 5 coats, let it dry, wet sand it smooth, and then buff with compound, this can be done by hand but a buffer will make quick work of it.

dont go crazy it gets darker as it drys.

stock taped off sanded cleaned/prepped.

one coat, note the spray on the tape where the lic plate goes. its light looking but does a lot.

2 coats VHT, with 5 coats of clear, not sanded, so its kinda a matte finish.

one good coat may be what your after.

this is what the 2 coats and 5 coats of clear all finished looks like.

if you want it completely gone, buy new tails. or at least try to tint them, see how they come out and if your not satisfied, then buy new tails

new OEM tails from the dealer sell at a ridicules price, id just seal the edges with RTV and tint them you should be fine
