Saw the mount on their website. Thinking about getting one for my 98 GT. Anyone tried one? I was wondering how secure it mounted the ecm.
 


most people just zip tie it to the car somehow so that it wont move. In my opinion is not worth it to buy it it because a car is meant to be driven and the parts and things on the car are made to handle just about anything, so in saying that, the computer is well protected and just zip tieing it to the car is good enough.
 
the engine is gunna be hot no matter what, with headers it might lower the temps a few degrees becuase of how well they flow, but because of where the computer is located air that comes into the engine bay it already has air flow around it
 


Only thing that I would be worried about is water...and if you've got water that high in your engine bay, then your a moron.
 
ive had my pcm just zip tied down on my 98 gt since march its fine. i got extra big ones and i got them wired into the holes below where the stock air box used to be and they form an 'x' over the pcm. and i took one of the square squishy pad things and glued it onto the strut tower wheel well thing and leaned the pcm into that so it doesnt scratch the paint and it holds it in place better. i think, might be wrong, but think u need a 99+ coolant tank to be able to use the pcm tray. and if your not aware, that gets mounted on the right strut tower, right behind the fuse box.

Your stock airbox right now houses your pcm correct? Why not cut the part that holds the pcm from the rest of the air box like I did ;)
