• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

we have a nice list started!

ttt- to the top (a way of sending your post/thread to the top of a page so's it will get more attention)
IIRC- If I Recall Correctly
IMO-In My Opinion
IMHO-In My Honest Opinion
SS IC-Short Stack Intercooler (ZZP product)
ODB II- A scantool used to diagnose and identify DTC's
SES-Service Engine Soon
FWD-Front Wheel Drive
WHP-Wheel Horse Power (you usually hear of "rear wheel horsepower" but since our cars are front wheel drive....)
SFI- Sequentially Fuel Injected
3100=3.1L=L82 (different terminology all referring to the same engine)
RT DP- RandomTech Downpipe
"Res"- Resonator
HUD-Heads Up Display
P & P-Port and Polish (more affordable alternative to headers when referring to exhaust mani's)
OHV-Overhead Valve (engine has a single cam to control opening and closing of exhaust and intake valves in both heads)
DHP- Digital Horsepower? tuner
DOHC- Dual Overhead Cam (engine has 2 cams, one to control set of valves
in each head)
VTEC- a dirty ricer word that should never be found in a W Body forum :th_biggrin2:

LOF- Lube, Oil, and Filter
SLP-Street Legal Performance
TGP-Turbocharged Grand Prix (Pre-97 GPs?)
GTP-Supercharged Grand Prix
GTX- pretty much the unicorn of Grand Prixs. I like to call them "Eleanor". (a Grand Prix with all kinds of SLP goodies that you could order as a FACTORY option)

WP-Water Pump
UDP-Under Drive Pulley?

OBD II, stands for On board Diagnostics, system/version number two. This is not a scan tool, but an Engine Management system Program in the vehicles PCM(computer). Generally thought to include 97 thru 03 (some 96's) US sold vehicles, both foreign an domestic.

DODGE- Drips Oil & Drops Grease Everywhere,HONDA- Hang On Not Done Accelerating,ACURA- Asia's Curse Upon Rural America,BMW-Beautiful Masterpieces on Wheels,FORD -First On Recall Day,GM-Great Machines,VOLVO- Very Odd Looking Vehicular Object,HYUNDAI-Hope You Understand Nothing is Driveable And Inexpensive.

Just gotta assist here. The letters OBD II refer vehicle 'On Board Diagnostic' system created in the mid 90's for all cars, after the OBD (legacy) fiasco. To read these DTC or Diagnostic Trouble Codes, you need a plug in scan tool or the ability to read teh flashing lights...for 20 buck I will plug in and clear or read you codes. I gotta live eh?
