cold are intake wont fit

i just put in a K&N cold air intake in my 98 gtp and the k&n air box would not fit uless i removed my overflow tank.. now the install photo didnt show the tank in the front drivers side.. im wondering if the in my year the tank was in the front and in 99 they changed it to the pasenger side?
 


Ummm...ya. Any sort of aftermarket intake for the '97-'98 3800 you have to relocated the coolant bottle to where they put it on the '99+ cars...on the pass. strut tower.
 
buy an 99 bottle, and hook it up. Ebay, moradpartscompany.com, or your local junkyard.
