cold air intake?

Well there are a few routes but you are going to be told to get a FWI (fenderwell intake, TDC might have some left) or just stick a filter on the TB.

ehh. not really the best set up. throttle body to maf to filter, the maf its pretty hot from the throttle body. throttle body to stock tubing to maf to filter, the filter hangs down and hits the cross over, burns the filter and is very slugish.
if your stock, that cold air really makes a difference. there is write ups all over the place but try and get it as far away from the engine as possible but also keep it in a straight line. thats your best bet.

wizaired and K&N are overpriced pieces of excrement.
The FWI's look good, but won't support as much power.
An open cone will yield the highest power potential and will also be loudest. I won't run anything but an open cone on a blower car. Turbo cars too, but most of them require a short length of pipe or elbow for the filter to have clearance.
also, not being able to fully express myself through the gratuitous use of profanity is really cramping my style on this board...:th_thumb-down:

Sorry but you're style will continue to be cramped. I can promise that. We don't want any of that CGP crap over here and I am for one happy that these tools are in place so you can't bring it. :th_thumbsup-wink:

anything is NOT better than the stock airbox, just because it's aftermarket and costs alot does not make it better.
The SLP box for example...costs alot, terrible performance.
The Wizaired, 20 dollars worth of hardware store material, sold for well over 200
The K&N, nice filter, nice molded pipe, but horrendously overpriced
The FWIs on the market, look nice, clean, perform decently, but do not equal the performance of an open cone.
I will just never understand the rationale behind spending more money for less performance.
