CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE MAIN DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE TWO CAI'S FROM ZZP:

ZZP 3800 cold air intake - $209.99
Model
Series II Series III * Out of Stock *

Writeup coming soon.

Includes:
Air box with lid
Intake duct rotates for different throttlebody setups
PCM tray
4" heat shielded tube
(3) hose clamps
K&N 4" inlet 9" cone filter (optional)

AND THE:

Wizaired Cold Air Induction System - $199.99
Model
Standard Series 3 (+ $20.00) Intercooled (+ $20.00) LS1, or N* throttlebody (+ $45.00) 3400 series (+ $20.00) Option 1
none selected Add 4 inch K&N filter (+ $44.00)

I'M LOOKING TO INSTALL ONE OF THE TWO AND I'M WANTING TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCES AND WHY ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER IF SO. OBVIOUSLY THE WIZAIRD COMES W/O AIR FILTER AND LOOKS A LITLE DIFFERENT. BUT ARE THERE BIG TECHNICALITIES BTWEEN THE DIFFERENCES?

PLEASE DON'T MIND THE CAPS, I KEEP EM THAT WAY BECAUSE OF HOW I TYPE THINGS AT WORK.

There is no difference. To buy one of these is strictly for cosmetic purposes, theres no gain over making one for $50 out of Home Depot parts.

Edit: The ZZP one looks to fit better than the Wizaired one I had.

search the forum for the write up on how to build your own... PVC elbow, a couple clamps, and a good filter. its cheap, and it flows.

Looks like the ZZP comes with a filter and the Wizaired is $44 extra for the filter.

Performance difference is nil.

I mind the caps a lot....

Its one keystroke to turn the caps lock off.

Replace your tubing, gut the stock box, throw a huge cone in it.

cheaper and better.

And this one;

Thats dumb.

They kept the one part of the intake you're supposed to throw out.

Also why do they increase the costs by having a window so you can see?

Thats also another side that doesnt have the heat rejecting material on...

They really make these to be pretty....

I have a wiz aire myself. Nothing wrong with making your own, but i don't understand why you guys use pvc pipe. I don't know what else you can use, but that sh#% gets hot! Next time after a good drive pop the hood and put your hand on it.
