Cold air gone wrong

I just recently bought a cold air filter, while i was removing the stock air filter i came across a silver electronic box. What did you guys do with the box?

Then i decided to drive it for awhile, but then the second day of driving it, the "service engine soon" came on. Any ideas?

That "silver box" is your PCM. You need to attach it somewhere, or get a PCM tray from a blazer and mount that somewhere.

For the SES light, did transfer your Intake Air Temperature sensor to the new intake? If nothing else, go to an auto parts place, they'll usually be able to scan the car and tell you the code.

Well, when you say you got a cold air filter, just what are we talking about? Most CAI systems replace the ducting, so you have to take the sensor out of the old ducting and put it in the new.

The IAT sensor is an electronic.... It is located next to the throttle body, on the tube leading into it... But that will not set off the light unless you failed to plug it in. As long as you plugged it in it won't do anything but run weird if you put it in a bad place...
