Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

coilovers

ya theres a couple threads on it on some other forums. its really not that hard i just didnt feel like spending the 1300 dollars when i could make exactly what they make for a lot less. the only thing i didnt do was buy nice struts yet. it rides like anything thats slammed a couple inches of the ground.....a little bouncy lol. but not that bad. i love it though. theres always a price to pay if you wanna lower something that much unless you bag it. thats why i hate ppl that complain about vehicles that ride like crap when theyre lowered that much. obviously its going to because your taking all the suspension travel out, so it has nowhere to move and will be alot stiffer

I HAVE A QUESTION!!!!

I see you have the SD headers..how close is that "U-bend" on the downpipe to the ground??

haha yes ive been meaning to cut it off and fix it but im too lazy. it was pretty close but with the shorter dog bones it pulled it up quite a bit. its not that much lower than the car.

Super old thread....got pix of the mounts? I'm considering making coilovers but there's some gray area in this part.

99blkgtp-looks tough. really. awesome you diy, and got the guts to ride that low, lol.

I got a fr coilover kit from arrautmotorsports. $350 for threaded sleeve, adjuster nut, 350# springs, top plate, bushings hardware. suprisingly simple. The springs are $100, so I figured kit is really $250 if you have struts and springs, so $125 per wheel. I also needed: rtv, anti-seaze grease, m&t mnt spacers, camber bolts, and jury is still out on covers.

This is product zzp re-sells. if you want just a top plate w/ hardware, I'm pretty sure richard would sell components separately.
