On my top coil pack my top terminal is rusted over and on the 3rd one the top terminal is also rusty, can this be causing problems and not get a connection, will sand paper or a wire brush hurt it or the plug wire?

REDCOMPG so basically a brillo pad and should I put some grease on all of them and will it shock me at all cause on my 00 gtp I had the car running and was pulling the plug wires and it shocked me all the way up through my arm lol, I learnt my lesson that day

Not a Brillo pad lol.. 0000 steel wool is very fine wool. Cost a few bucks if that at the hardware store.. Don't use a Brillo pad bro

Also dont do it while the car is on, lol. The coil pack doesnt put out any power if the car is off.
 
For the grease, yeah just a thin coating will do... One small packet will do all 6... Which you should do to prevent having to do this again.
 
Are you using dielectric grease aka silicone grease? Just put a good coat around the whole thing, and I'd put a but extra on the top so when you snap the wire on it, the grease will get into the plug wire too.
 


What about the icm, I took mine off my 00 gtp to inspect it and I think that's what's under it, looked like vasoline, will it need any more under there

Dielectric grease and silicone grease is the same thing. < what you want. Silicone spray is something totally different. Auto parts stores sells little packets of it for like $3-4.

Somebody told me if they were rusted a little and couldn't get good spark my mpg could go down, idk if that's true or not

Well anytime an engine doesn't run well mpg goes down. It's a quick job, clean em up, use the silicone and you'll be good to go.
 
Well if it's not sparking, it's misfiring... And a misfiring cylinder is wasting 100% of the gas it gets... So yeah misfires and bad spark hurt fuel economy
