Coil Bracket difference? (Pics added)

Can someone tell me what the difference is between the L67 coil brackets and the L36 coil brackets?

Pics to further illustrate this difference would also be very welcome.

Thanks

Re: Coil Bracket difference?

Hard to explain but I'll try:

L67 - Coil packs bolt directly to the ICM and the ICM bolts to the ICM bracket.
L36 - Coil pack bolts go through the coils, and ICM and screw directly into the ICM bracket.

They are not interchangeable.

Re: Coil Bracket difference?

Also the pass side torque strap(dog bone) is directly part of the l67 coil pack while the L36 is a separate unit.....Also 2 pulleys mount to the bracket for the s/c's belt system, and the L36 bracket doesn't have provisions for those

Re: Coil Bracket difference?

True, I was just speaking to the actual ICM itself but yes, that is all correct about the mounts too.

Re: Coil Bracket difference?

I believe the exact location of the coils is a bit lower with the L36 bracket too. That leads me to believe that the L67's is lifted to clear the SC belt. With my PRJ wires (made for L67) the #5 cylinder wire is a little bit more taught than I see on pics of L67s. This may also be a factor of the different design of the L36 passenger side mount and the L67 passenger side mount.

Re: Coil Bracket difference?

Ok, so this is all good info... But I'm a very visual person, can someone tell me which one of the two this one is?
