my cars been running like crap lately but this driver was a real pain, so i had to do it. from a light short race 0-60 took him by about a cars length, next light he revved and i feel like he got a much better launch, i had him off the line by less than half a car, got to about 45-50 it was even and than the bad happened, i hit about 70 mph, i heard a loud POP, so i let off, car still moved, still accelerated fine, no SES light, but it was REALLY loud, i pull over, my resonator literally flew off. and is hanging on by one bolt. you obviously know how that ended :/
 


You must be modded pretty well to take a SS/TC...unless the driver sucked.

Good job on the exhaust delete mod...bet it sounds like poo :D

mm no not to well mustang dyno 242 fwhp weather corrected and 262fwtq WC 12 lbs of boost. he didnt seem bad, but yet again it wasn't a great race.
 


PLOG, 3inch DP, thrush resonator (well before the race started anyway) to thrush mufflers, CAI, 8.5 wires, 180 t stat, tr6, 3.5 pulley and a tune.
 


So the resonator came off, but all you heard was a pop? Nothing afterwards??? Have you had your hearing checked lately? Can you not feel anything throughout your body? That noise should have shook the entire car as cheap as the underbody of these cars are.
 
same thing happened to me coming back from the track i heard what sounded like a bolt hit the unside of the car, and then i could not hear anythng because I was driving what sounded like a nascar lol
 
Turbo Cobalts will wreck hoes...I don't know what a SS/TC puts down to the wheels stock but I'm not sure I believe that a car making (what I would assume to be) similar power and that weighs more beat a SS/TC, unless the guy didn't know how to drive...

My buddies GF's '09 SS/TC with NO mods at all just the TCS/ABS fuse pulled out because apparently it cuts timing worse on those than it does on ours...and toqrue management is pretty nasty as well...at least that is how I understood it. She made 250 FWHP and a little less TQ...like 245. Car has about 12K on it then...now it has an Injen CAI, Dejion Hardpiping, Hahn Turbo-back...so...and in bad need of a tune...should make close to 300 FWHP after a tune and a little more boost I'm sure.
