Don't know if the guy didn't know what he was doin or wat, but I have all stock, and whooped this dudes ass in a cobalt ss. Maybe he was just retarded, but he floored it off a stop light, and I gunned it right after him, and just blew his freakin doors off. GTP WOO HOO!
 


Good one.Those lil things are quick.How far behind was he?I got whooped by a acura rsx type-s last night in Tinley Park,IL.I know he had exhaust,don't know what else.we 50 roll'd it,i jumped him and he came back up,I was at his back tire most of the run.We shut down around 105,we gave each other the thumbs up and he got off his exit and I went my way.It's all good tho.Time to mod up. :)
 
not disclaiming but the cobalts also came wiht the n/a 2.4 SS meaning they have almost everything from the s/c 2.0 ss minus the blower, displacement larger wheels and brakes for example. good kill though!!

I ran one from a dig, it was a 03 model with I/H/E, all I had was a FWI and took had him by 2-3 cars the whole run, but as you said yours was from a 50mph roll and didnt know the extent of his mods. Those K20's pull hard esp. on top. Find one and try them on a dig....Torque is your friend :th_biggrin2:
 
yea they do pull at top,i learned the hard way. nevertheless fun race tho.i dont see them messin with gtp's but a gt like mine they have similar power except gp's have more tq and the type-s weighs a lil less.maybe one day i'll catch one from a dig.

Nice win...I like beating them...when they have the balls to race. And about that RSX... similar experience, from a 30 roll I was creeping past him slowly, but from a dig I put 6 cars on him before he quit. I know he has some work done, cuz he's the fastest RSX type s I know around.
 
rsx-s aren't very fast stock at all. Throw some boost on them and then they are FAST.

I own a 02 Acura CL Type S...same thing as TL-S except coupe basically. I wish more GTP owners around here would mess around. I've only had fun with one:(

I always get honda civics and scion TC's/XB's revin up on me and don't waste my gas lol. I never thought I would buy a honda/acura, but was suprised by the CL-S. Was originally looking for a Nissan Maxima 02/03 3.5 SE 6-speed(those are fast and highly underrated) or a GTP
