Clunking noise when shifting gears, accelerating.

Ok, I'm a dummy so I need some help with this one. I've got an 04' GTP with 135k miles. Starting to clear a clunking or knocking noise when I accelerate from a stop, or shift from park-drive or to reverse. Sounds like its coming from the front end drivers side. Occasionally it will occur while driving if I hit a bump, but usually not. Does not usually happen when turning. When accelerating from a stop, its more like a series of groans or creaking. Switching gears its more like a single 'pop' or 'clunk.'

At first I thought maybe a motor or trans mount, but If I'm accelerating while already at speed I hear nothing. When I pop the hood and have someone rev the engine it does not move much. It moves more when shifting gears, so maybe the trans mount? I jacked up the car and took a look at it. The transmission mounting bracket was pretty rusty, but the mount itself looked OK. Not sure if it would be easily visible if it did need replacing, however. The trans moves a little bit, but I don't know how much movement is abnormal. I took a video and did notice the wheel bearing assembly does rotate when switching gears and knocks against the rotor, maybe this play is normal and I'm just clueless or if its indicative of something else like a bad CV joint or wheel bearing. I'd appreciate it if someone could provide some input, thanks.

Sorry for the crappy video quality.

With those miles on the clock almost everything in the front end needs replaced. Sub-frame mounts, struts, strut mounts, trans & motor mounts, sway bar bushings, cv's, lower control arm bushings, wheel bearings, tie rods, ball joints, and the sway bar could be cracked. Just depends on how much you like the car and how you want it to drive. My opinion is you should use the GM oem parts where you can to get the best feel, but it adds up quick.

I have a similar noise when shifting or if I have the car in park and I push it and let it rock back and fourth. I haven't pin pointed exactly but when i feel in the area it seems to be the outer CV joint, where it the joint closer to the hub ...
