clicking under dash

Hey I was hoping you guys would have an answer on this one. It started about a month ago with the key not wanting to come out of the ignition. I started doing the tiny screwdriver in the steering column hole thing to get the key out, but just today I noticed all the power inside the car was out and the shifter wouldn't come out of park. I had to depress the interlock to get it into gear. The DIC, windows, radio, climate control dead. I climbed underneath the dash, removed the carpeted access cover and wiggled some things around and heard a clicking sound. I moved a block of wires just right and now everything is working again. Including the shifter. What do you guys think is bad under there? Brake switch ?

Thanx...

I feel like this is all i think about lately . Its probably the ignition switch. The "block of wires" that you wiggled is almost certainly the ignition harness, try to tighten the bolt in the center and see if that helps. Otherwise pay the $80 for a new switch and try to find some torx sockets. Good luck

It very well could be the ignition switch. Had the exact same issue with my grand am once. I never replaced it cuz it only happened like twice.
