clearing/painting tails 101

the point is that cleared tails have been done before and i wanted to do something different. i am also getting over tinted tails and i dont want to do the same old thing.

whats the point of clearing them, painting them...just to end up tinting them?

my thoughts exactly. however, i was thinking about doing a slight amount of painting on the outside of these since they are delaminating a little big from me prying on the lenses with a screwdriver.

wasn't sure though.

Looks great, makes you feel good when you dremel into something and it comes out ok lol, plastic melts quick. I liked them before you painted them also. I like them after too, something different. I don't mind the stock tails at all if they have the water delete mod done to them.

maybe im just hungry but this looks like some corn on the cob lol

Paint the outside edges and the reflector to match the car, then you can't see the delamination or the ugly red reflector.

Also I say leave the reverse reflector out, throw bright white LEDs in that too.

I tell you what Nick, send me those, and Ill mount them to MY car and take lots of goodie goodie pictures and send you my old ones back so you can do the process over again for someone else.... itll be a win win situation for the both of us :th_peaceout:

:th_laugh-lol2:

sealed the lights back up today. from taking out material, there are a few gaps i am going to have to fill that the 3M sealant i have wont do. unsure of what i want to use yet, final assembled pictures to come soon.

done. it took me so long because im lazy. if i really wanted to, i could probably do a set in a few days of good amounts of work.
