Clear Coat or Straight Aluminum?

Hi everyone,

I recently got a 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp Edition with the lightweight 10 spoke aluminum wheels.

As I am getting ready to detail the car I'm trying to figure out if the rims are straight aluminum or if there is a clear coat on them. Does anyone know?

I have an 02 with polished torque 5 spokes factory Im willing to bet their clear coated on the outside and bare on the inside. Where I live the winter is hard on prettymuch everything. Im going to paint strip my wheels and polish them with a dremel to get the factory rough spots out. Then reclear. Before everyone says get new wheels I drive 200 miles aday and makes no sense to burn up expensive 17+ tires.
