wow now that i look at the close up pics i didnt realize why you were cutting away at the shroud....

at least i wont run into that problem, i dont have patience for that sh!t

but good job sir! damn good job

I applaud you. :th_clapping:That is some amazing work looks great to me. :th_biggrin2:

Looks great to me to better than my own retro honestly... everytime I get done with someones retro I never want to ship it out ;)

You may or may not want to use your gm headlight brackets. These brackets that come with the clear corner black housed oem style lights are very chinsy. They get the job done and I used jb stick on the base of the adjusters because the base doesn't spin as part of the adjusment. Holds the adjusters tight at the base a lot better.

The brackets that came with my orange corner lensed oem style headlights are way better than the brackets that came with these clear corner set. The adjuster bolt is twice as thick.... food for thought if you're thinking about buying a set of headlights.

I will be invoicing you shortly.......

Thanks appreciate the compliments for sure. You see the problem with these 97-03 housings lies in the slope at the back of the housing on the inside of the capsule. Without doing major shroud work you will never get the projectors back far enough to get the lock rings on because you won't have enough threads sticking thru the backside. You have to get the lock ring past where the 3 screw bulb holder is or the bulb holder won't be right. It took major dremel work on the inside raised ring too......

7 minutes in the oven @ 265* and these puppies are done..... letting the rtv on the corners dry over night... then they get bolted back into the brackets, boxed, and shipped. I will provide tracking tomorrow evening. Don't worry lenses haven't been cleaned on the outside yet those little smudges won't be there. I'll actually do that before they go in the oven with alcohol pads to make sure there's no oils from hands or fingers. I wore latex gloves but not when I brought them upstairs and were moving them around for a pic......:th_thumbsup-wink:

Oh yeah before I forget here's the jb stick I used on the base of the adjusters where they connect to the bracket.... this pic is from my orange corner black housed oem style headlights.... adjuster is twice as thick as clear corner black housings.....

Now do projector turn signals.

Already talked with another member about that. Two problems the corner is smaller than the headlight capsule for one. You might have noticed it's not exactly easy to even get them sitting right in the capsule. Two projector turn signal :th_shakinghead2: what exactly are we projecting a turn signal a 1/2 mile for? Only way possible is with mori matchbox projectors, there's many factors on why this is almost impossible anyways, space behind projector, bulb sitting vertical not horizontal, opening corners that are already chinsy to begin with, and nobody would pay a labor rate to make it even worth it.

Led turn signals/switchbacks a much better and cheaper option IMO:th_biggrin2:

I was expecting a "lol" and that was about it. :P
Projector tail lights? Projector glovebox light? Projector shifter. Winning.

I agree and anything is possible I've got some skillz but maybe not that much skills. If I thought it would be worth it I'd try it but I don't. :th_thumbsup-wink:

see clean, im not the only one liking the idea

You're more than welcome to post up that link in my thread on the projector turns it's interesting to say the least. I just don't think anyone would pay double the labor rate for something like that.....:th_shakinghead1:

please tell me those are going into a black car

I'm not sure what color car they're going on Omega..... don't think fast ever told me what color his car was. If he did I don't remember I've done so many I can't remember everyones color of their car. Why are you wanting to hear they're going into a black car for ?
