There was someone else, also on GPONA, who advertised that he could do it for the 04+ GP's. He was cheap. Like $150 for labor and you provide the parts. Needless to say the projectors were crooked. The headlights weren't sealed right. The shroud was held on with some crappy glue that was visible for one thing, and fell off shortly after. It looked like the reflector was painted with a crayon. It was bad.

See it's people like you that actually appreciate something in this world that makes me want to still do them for people. I just don't deserve to be disrespected is all. I say things and goof around on chat, then if I say 1 thing that someone can turn negative on me they're all over it. I'm an easy going guy that will works with people even if they can't afford my services.

I ship my retro's out with projectors rotationally correct, I seal my lights using only oci butyl tape rolled out in my hands to fit the lense groove perfect to avoid a mess. My shrouds are held on by 4 self tapping screws and only use hi temp engine enamels on my shrouds and housings.;)

Thanks compg, would you do a retro for $100-$150 ? I doubt it but no way I'm spending that many hrs and days on a set and beating my front bumper up and having to readjust my retro everytime for any less. Trust me the people that HAVE the money are not complaining about the price it's just the people who can't afford it that are complaining. I've had not 1 single person dissatisfied when they get that box from fedex, they're all pumped....
 
Absolutely not lol. Good thing I keep my hair short or I would have pulled my hair out doing mine. In the end it will be worth it..up until someone receives there finish product of course they'll be doubt. Your work speaks for itself. the cheapo ebay projectors cost what $200-250 buck and with some more money you can actually have a retro fit and projector that lives worth of the name.

Dont get me wrong the ebay projectors do look good but I've been thru this 1000 times on why they're no good IMO. If ebay projectors were that good Audi, Acura, BMW, Mercedes, Saab, Ford, GM, Chrysler etc would be using them not putting real clear lensed bi-xenon projectors in their cars....

Also I have no hair left......and anytime I do sprout a hair on my head it gets pulled out doing someones retro :th_laugh-lol3:
 
I actually have ebay projectors on my car. When I first bought them last year I thought man they look cool except for the fact they dont fit right and look like $hit with the gap I have. Even rubber gaskets along the bottom dont help the light output plus the fact that the high beams are only for show, I dont need to see whats up in the trees lol. Thats why money is deffinetly worth being spent on something that is 100x better than an inferior product you can buy. It seems everything you buy you have to modify. Keep up the great work Clean!

that sucks clean. i havent evan started the tedious part of my retro and i can honestly say its a ***** to do. ill admit at first i though youre pricing was high. but now, **** thats a solid rate

Ebay projectors look 100x better than stock capsules, and 10x better than your retro's.........IMO. They outperform stock capsules, and thats what everyone is looking for, better light output. I'm entitled to my opinion just as everyone else.

People were busting your chops about your outrageous "sale", where you lowered your price of labor, but added other charges to cover the cost of your "sale". You act like your "customers" are idiots and aren't going to figure that out. We aren't 5 years old, any idiot can do simple math. Don't treat your prospective customers like morons, and maybe you'd get more respect, and more business.....

Clean you cant quit just because some idiots don't appreciate what you do, you haven't done the retro I'm saving for yet, least give me one more month. lol

You prove more and more how much of an idiot you are each time you open your mouth.

For one I didn't personally name you as the person recommending ebay projectors over real clear lensed bi-xenon projectors.

Two don't come into my thread bashing my work or trying to persuade potential customers, they will make their own decisions.

Three I will not pay for supplies to do other peoples headlights. Tell me why I should pay $20 a box for sealant, pay for rtv to reseal corners, foil tape, cutting bits, paint for housings/shrouds out of my labor rate for someone elses headlights?

Four ebay projectors look terrible with the 3 inch gap between the bottom of the headlight and bumper. They have weak brakets that break, terrible adjustability also. They have cross beam, if you're trying to light up ditches and the other lane of travel then maybe they're the right choice for you. They have a useless hi-beam that points directly to jesus. The hi-beam isn't a focused beam pattern and it requires 4 ballast just for the headlights alone, not counting HID fogs which means your powering 6 ballasts, and it costs more because you need 2 HID kits for your beloved ebay projectors. Throw in the fact that the projectors in the ebay housings are fresnel lense with terrible output compared to morimoto bi-xenon projectors.

Fifth if you really think ebay projectors look and are 10x's better than my retro's then you're 10 times dumber than I already thought you were. Go light up your led's and halo's you might pass as a Honda fanboy.....

Lastly this is the last time I deal with you and your mouth. You're acting like a child. I didn't publicly name you as the person doing these recommendations. If you have a problem with me you deal with me, don't drag my customers into reading your bogus trash. If you continue to post this garbage in my vendor forum or in my retro thread I will take the appropriate steps and forward your negative opinions and thoughts to the correct mods and Rocket...

Don't worry, clean. I think everyone is impressed with your product, and with every completed set, your reputation grows. All Copgtp has done is make himself look like a jackass. Ever notice when you dislike someone, you're instantly skeptical of their opinions and recommendations? Yeah. Copgtp has effectively discredited himself and destroyed any respect I had for him previously. And, while miles better than stock housings, if anyone's totally satisfied with the light output of Spyders, they're a fool and missing out.

Thanks for the support I will no longer contribute to adding fuel to the fire. I've asked to be respected, for the most part I am. You can't make everyone in this world happy and everyone has a right to have their own opinion. However there is an appropriate time and place to do this. In my vendor forum and my retro thread isn't the place for it. Any further comments from copgtp will be removed by a moderator. I don't need to speak to him and he doesn't need to speak to me, enough is enough. I will continue to produce great quality retros for the time being. I enjoy doing these for people. It gives you a sense of accomplishment to see these being bolted on to peoples gtp's and gp's and know you're providing something that adds a ton of safety to your vehicle at night. At the end of the day you spend more money but my family and your family being safe in a vehicle is what it's all about!:D
 
LOL, It's amazing how someone thinks that his opinion on looks should be written into law. If you don't like it, fine, but to compare anything to Ebay projectors is a farce. All of those things are trash, and people were had when they had the $400 group buy. Every single person I know that bought them, hated them and sold them off. And if they won't admit in public that they hate them, they secretly stab the voodoo doll of the guy that jerked them out of their money.

I "myself" like these, and if the light output is as good as they look in the picture, I'm sure I'll be happy when I finally get around to ordering them.

If you don't like them, fine, but that doesn't mean that every body else in the world should follow your opinion.
