Cleaning Engine Bay

New member
I just bought a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP and the engine bay has a bunch of dirt and grease. I want to spray wash the engine, although I do not want to mess anything up sucha s the electrical. Any suggetions? Garden hose or power washer? Soup? Covering anything?

Spray simple green on it, let it sit for about 10-15 minutes, then rinse.

If you still have dirt and grease, do the same but after spraying simple green, use a brillo/scotch brite pad and scrub it off, then rinse again.

go to a kawasaki shop and buy the stuff that they use on ski engines for storage. its a silicone based cleaner. if i remember its kawasaki brand ski and lube. it wokrs great i used it alot when i worked as a tech at a kawasaki dealership.

You wouldn't happen to know the name of the product would you? I'd like to look into its chemical makeup.
