and what is so impressive is that I see no signs of water in your driveway. You didn't put on the Land Rover snorkel and give it a bath in the lake agian did you?.:th_laugh-lol2:

Car looks very nice. Remind to talk to you about claybarring next time we meet up. I've not done this, but am pretty sure my car could benefit.

looks clean, but hit up those tips with some sandpaper or something to get them looking silver again... maybe even get some cheap tips

Thanks guys, I already have spo tips, just waiting till I redo my exhaust again to weld the bad boys in place.

Lee as far as claybarring, it's real easy, just time consuming. we will talk about it next time we meet up.

I will get some better pics tommorow for you guys. It has been sitting for a while, as I was more interested in things that were actually street legal while my father was still alive.
Now that he is passed away, I have slowly been restoring it back to the way he built it, and hopefully chrome it up a lil' bit more than he did, as it used to be a show truck and times have changed since he used to show it. That isn't to say it didn't get dirty either, as he used to race it professionally before monster trucks became 1 and 2 million dollar rigs.

Little bit of history on it:
Bought brand new in 1979, built into this 1981.

It actually won best of show 2 years in a row 1985 and 86, at the 10th and 11th annual world of wheels show in Jackson, Mississippi and runner-up for best of show at W.O.W. in 1987, also quite a few best of shows from non-national shows.

-Raced against Bearfoot, Bigfoot, Samson, King Krunch and some other now defunct pro trucks.

-Actually had first professional woman driver, as my mom and dad took turns driving it at races. (A lot of people debate this since the sort was still starting out and things were'nt documented back then, so if you disagree I will shut up, it really aint worth arguing about to me)

-Dennis anderson actually drove it, when my family moved to North Carolina, and became a family friend.

I could talk on and on about it but really don't feel like making a 10 page post, as I am insanely proud of owning it and my father for building, racing it and giving me stories to talk about for years and years.
