My engine cover just got a fresh coat of SALT!!!
steam cleaners are the **** for engine cleaning. some places will do the engine bay for around $50. I'm guilty of using the self server car wash to wash under the hood. Didn't do any harm to the car. I've also had good luck with the engine cleaner in a can. Read the instructions on the back and it usually does a pretty good job with minimal effort.
