Fear not my friend, even with his mods he didnt gain 100 hp without MAJOR work to the mill and possibly a turbo kit.

I got an SE-R S.V yesterday, didnt take long to keep him where he belonged.

2007 Grand Prix GT

Based on these numbers the Sentra may have a slight edge in Power/Weight ratio. This is assuming he can shift as fast as your automatic can...and he probably can't. In the end, it's going to be close and it's going to be up to the driver IF he has a spec V.

But in reality, all this bench racing doesn't mean jack...

He missed 3rd gear, I heard that. However, I did get the jump on him and I didnt spin at all, he spun.

Sucks, Im used to running double the hp and tq that the base sedan has now, i wouldnt have wasted the gas on anything under 400 hp before, now I gotta settle for what I can get, pending there is zero traffic.

Just punk him in public man, no man will back down from a challenge when others are around, I think its in MAN DNA.

I would have taken it past the POSTED LIMIT, wife was in the car, sounded like a small dog that doesnt know how to shut up. He barked, I bit.

I do not condone my actions or the actions in general.

10 years ago you could get away with it, thanks to hollywood you get rolled around here for everything now. I got my 07 base jsut to blend in, not draw all that crap back to me.

Costs too much money.

I hear you WD...note what my car looks like. I have actually been driving in a pack of ricers with a patrol car following us and never even got a second look. LOL Low key is a good thing even when you don't street race.

This is why im keeping the "stock" look...... draws less attention:th_mischievious:

I found holding it in gear longer then programmed actually keeps you deeper into the power band when you shift to the next gear.

Im used to it, all my rwd autos had manual valve bodies in them, if I could figure out how to get a stage 3 kit and manual valve body into the fwd transaxle I would.

Ive never attempted 5th avenue shifting in a race.

WD, have you not reprogrammed your shift points in the PCM? Mine is set to shift exactly where I want it to. Do you have Peformance Shift in yours? (Don't remember what you have off the top of my head.)

I got showroom stock crawlin junk right now, 07 base.

And from what I understand 07's are untuneable without an comp. swap.

Where in SoCal are you? I grew up in San Diego. I feel for you guys out there, CARB=Commies.

Pretty close to SD...Murrieta.

Yea that sucks about your PCM. For you manual shifting would have some benefit I bet. I didn't know 07s were locked up like that. Makes me feel a bit better though...at least now there is a model year that's more of a bastard child than my 97. LOL

From what I understand there really is not any aftermarket for the 07's, especially the N/A models.

Well you could still get a intake, downpipe/catback, t-stat, plugs/wires/coil/packs, lowering kit and rims...that'll make for one good running N/A car no doubt...oh and if they do a shift kit for the tranny would be sweet:D

i wanted more in the llines of top end, heads cam valves,P&P all the air/fuel/exhaust ports.

It seems I will need to do a GXP swap just to get any thing near 300 out of these GP's on nuts.
