Christmas Present Idea help

Ok guys/gals, I need some advice.

Boyfriend has a 99 Chevy Silverado 1500.
He has always been talking about getting color matching front bumper/mirrors and a billet grill.
So I got to pondering the idea of getting some color matching mirrors for him for christmas.
Now, I know that the Tahoes came with color matching, so I can go to pull-a-part and hope to find one in maroon with both in tact and in good shape.
Or I can order 2 new ones/find 2 decent ones and have them painted.

Here is my question, does it sound like a stupid idea or would it be more expensive than what I'm thinking? (buying 2 new or used & getting painted to match).
Also, I can't look at the truck right now, but does anyone know how difficult it is to remove the mirrors? I believe his are power, I'd have to double check tho. Like if I went to pull a part and found some, could I do it with standard tools? I'm assuming door panel would have to come off.

Here is a picture of said truck:
Sorry for crappy quality, but its the most recent one I can find.

Here's a little older one:
Only difference is the bowtie is now black

(sorry if this is in the wrong section, it seemed kinda lounge worthy instead of general tech.)

easy as pie to replace i can send you a picture how to if you need.

2 used would be 100$ish? plus 80ish to paint.

check car-part.com

Awesome, thanks. Finding a lot on that site, I'd forgotten about them.
If you can send me a picture in the event I try pull-a-part so I know, that'd be great.

I also go to thinking....heated mirrors would be the cats meow for him since he plows snow and they seem to get covered easily.
Heated ones could be wired to work right?
I'm assuming a switch could be wired up to turn on/off as he wished?

I actually found a left side for $35, undamaged.
Shipping is probably going to be outrageous tho.

Thank you Ray!
