is it better to keep the ports flowing through the TB?Pictures by foursixer - Photobucket
Basically someone ran plugs in the holes so they didn't have coolant flowing into the blower case and throttle body.
I thought they did that in TB spacers. I could be wrong though...i dont know a whole lot about that stuff.can anyone advised me on the drill alky holes?
hillarious!!!!:th_redx-shoot:
the holes were made for two nozzles one on each side, direct spray and not through the blower. i beleive its a zzp LIMI thought they did that in TB spacers. I could be wrong though...i dont know a whole lot about that stuff.
wow, i had this LIM a few months well. i did not know it was bill's! i would reach out to him. i assumed this LIM is for use w/o PCV valve.no its not the ZZP lim, its the LIM that you Got from Bill....that Hole in the last pic was for a Air Temp Sensor
any yes the coolant and the Egr was blocked off when running the IC
so that explains one hole what is the second one for http://i1205.photobucket.com/albums/bb423/foursixer/IMG_2454-1.jpgno its not the ZZP lim, its the LIM that you Got from Bill....that Hole in the last pic was for a Air Temp Sensor

hey bill, the coolant ports were already tap and thread. i can probably take some better pictures. am lost with your statement, "Then take off the side cover of the LIM and port out the coolant passage from rear to front". what side cover are you refering too? what generation is my LIM and how do i port the passage ways? is there a write up on this?Len....
Pat's wrong on this one. That didn't come from me. He probably thinks I left the LIM on the engine, but the one on there was cut for the IC core and came off before you picked it up.
The early Gen V manifolds has the recessed area for coolant o-rings in the gasket (like a Gen 3 gasket) and the newer style of manifold had a flat top for the aluminum Gen V gasket.
Either way, I'd suggest drilling, tapping and using 1/4" npt plugs on the coolant ports. Then take off the side cover of the LIM and port out the coolant passage from rear to front.
so, where the bolts are located is that the inlet leading toward the rear bank. do i have to port the outlet also then, if so where is the second area to be ported. but wait, if the coolant ports are already tapped and threaded, the port reference to bio might already been done. can anyone provide me a link to draw comparison.on the passenger side of the lower intake, there is a cap with two 10mm bolts. take that off and grind out some of the middle divider. this will allow more coolant to flow through that little section. the reason behind why you would do this is because when you close up the coolant ports going to the blower and throttle body you lose a marginal amount of flow to the rear head. to make up for it you open up the side of the lower intake coolant port a little.
make sense?
