check engine light

does anyone else seem to have a problem with the check engine light and the gas tank not being tightly closed ...or i hope so :th_lipssealed1:
 




Also don't get it off eBay. Get it off amazon. I avoid eBay like a plague because I purchased the scan tool for 12 shipped and it never came and it was a hassle getting my

If you have an Android phone you could pickup OBII bluetooth adapter and the Torque app. Read/clears codes and also reads bunch of info about the car like temps, vac, volts ect.

thank you very much everyone i will be going today to a place i can get it scanned at and when i go home from vacation hopefully my scanner will be sitting in my mail box just ordered

...i have never seen that come up and i have an 05 ...either way it was the gas cap got a new one on the way ...can you believe this i am down in obx (outter banks ) and 1. they don't do scans on the island like wtf .....and no where on the island has the cap i need lol silly north caroliners
 
Beware that the part number is different between 04 and 05 so universal 04-08 may not fit properly on your 05. I broke my factory cap and got an "04-current" cap that fit but was slightly smaller so it wouldn't click when tightening it. Within a day my DIC would say "Check gas cap" after a few minutes of running. Bought an 05 specific cap off the same brand and it stopped saying that.
