Check Engine Codes P0120, P0113 and P0171

Hi

A week ago my MAF code was on and I replaced the MAF sensor because it was crack on the top of it.

Engine ran great, MAF code went off after 5 miles, then for the next 150miles.

When I hit 150 miles P0102, P0113 and P0171 codes came on. No change due to the engine idled and ran great. I checked all the connections and cleared all the codes. Drove 30 miles so far and no codes yet.

Can someone help me here.

George

P0102 Mass or Volume Air Flow A Circuit Low Input

P0113 Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input

P0171 Bank 1 System to Lean

I believe I have a K&N filter in there, its been in there a long time!

Since I cleared all the codes and then driving over 75 miles today one code came back.

P0171 Bank 1 System to Lean

Guys thanks for all your suggestions.

I checked all the vac connections and one had a little crack on the end.

I cut about a 1/8" off of it and the check engine light went off.

I can't believe how small of a cut it was that will set off the check engine light.

Thanks again, George

My car started throwing the System too lean bank 1 (P0171) and the Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input (P0102) codes yesterday. Runs rough at times and misses it feels like. Also will stall out at idle and when I let off of the gas sometimes. I cleaned the MAF sensor less than a month ago so I feel that shouldn't be the issue. I will probably check for a vac leak but I'm not sure what is best to use for it and of course nobody is open on Thanksgiving. I have also heard the the O2 sensor could be bad as well. Is there any way I can check that myself?

I finally picked up a OBDII Scanner the other day. I had recently put a can of Seafoam into the tank of the GT, just to keep things clean. Of course, after about 10 miles on the highway back, my CEL lit up. The car ran perfectly before and after the light came on and the car was checked before putting the Seafoam and it had no codes stored or otherwise. So was it coincidence? Not sure about that. Anyhow I picked up an Actron CP9575 for $70 bucks on Ebay, just to have for myself rather than having to pay someone to diagnose the car. I hooked it up yesterday and It had one code (P0171) Bank One Too Lean. I erased the code and reset the CEL. I'll go down today and spray the vacuum lines and the intake manifold with some WD-40 to see if I have any leaks. I have to say that the Reader was well worth the money.

Guys

My P0102 Code showed its self again.

Car is running normal, the code goes off onces in a while, and now on again.

I did replace my MAF a few months ago, since I know it needed replacing since it was cracked.

The code reader recommends the following for its fix.
1. Replace MAF
2. Replace EGR Transfer Tube
3. Replace Fuel Pump

What do you guys think and please let me know what to look for to fix it.

George, it's more experience in watching all you poor suckers with AZ lifetime guarantees drive their daily for a new one. For some reason they often fail in the car.

It's like putting in Bosch plugs. They'll run fine for a few minutes and then torture you into submission. That's why I convinced DSmutty to sell me his spare out from under Danielle when mine when bad. Maybe check car-part.com and get a factory one.
