cheap mods



For a NA car first thing I would go for is a HV3, Intake, and a 3" Downpipe.

I know you said cheap but this thing can be had used if you look around and it really has a good amount of gains.

Cheap? Make an intake...get the U-Bend deleted...put in a 180* T-Stat and get the car tuned. Flip the motor mounts too. BAH! Cheap...like $200.
 
He said cheap. Plus...you don't even upgrade TB's on L67 cars until a cam/headers/IC or rockers...no one puts on bigger TB's on N/A cars...its a waste of money.
 
I was asking because I happen to have an LS1 TB from a car i parted out, I also own a northstar, so I'd jsut do a circle swap on them lol. I was seeing if it was a waste of time to slap it on there. I figured as much.
 


go to an exhaust shop and ask them to cut out your u-bend and replace it with a piece of straight pipe and an o2 bung. unless theyre rapists, that wont cost more then $20-30. then make an intake, i made mine for under $40...
 


Nah, your money.

If i were you and just looking for some extra mileage and a little more kick, do what blue said.

If you wanted to add a real kick, say 40-50 extra horse, look into a top swap and start saving.
 
you can find top swaps for fairly cheap too theres one in the for sale section right now for like $200 i dont know if thats with or without heads though
 
How do those mods get you 40 HP?

If you factor in gearing, sure the GT will run it in first gear, after that, BUH-BYE.
 


matt lol u epic failed but with a computer replacement you would beat stock gtp's no problem along with cai hv3 and exhaust but in all honesty the hv3 makes it worth your while with it alone lol.
